[23:05] <Tigre_bianco> I: Christian's are led into captivity by the devil because they lack knowledge

[23:05] <Tigre_bianco> ................

[23:05] <Tigre_bianco> (Isaiah 5:13) Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.

[23:05] <Tigre_bianco> .........

[23:05] <Tigre_bianco> The devil has a lot of Christians in captivity because they lack knowledge.

[23:06] <Tigre_bianco> ...........

[23:06] <Tigre_bianco> II: How does this happen.

[23:06] <Tigre_bianco> ............

[23:07] <Tigre_bianco> It happens because most Christian's views of right and wrong are

[23:07] <Tigre_bianco> not based on what they know but on what someone else knows.

[23:07] <Tigre_bianco> ..............

[23:07] <Tigre_bianco> A few examples of this.

[23:07] <Tigre_bianco> ...............

[23:07] <Tigre_bianco> A: a person will go to church and listen to the pastor's sermon or they watch some preacher on tv

[23:08] <Tigre_bianco> and they accept what they hear as being factual and true.

[23:08] <Tigre_bianco> they never go home and look up the verses that were given and study and come to their own conclusion

[23:08] <Tigre_bianco> ...............

[23:08] <Tigre_bianco> B: they listen to someone on a show on Christian tv say that something is bad.

[23:08] <Tigre_bianco> yet they never research the facts that were given to see if what they heard was true or not.

[23:09] <Tigre_bianco> ..................

[23:09] <Tigre_bianco> III: how can a Christian avoid this

[23:10] <Tigre_bianco> .................

[23:10] <Tigre_bianco> A: Develop you own knowledge of what's right and what's wrong

[23:10] <Tigre_bianco> ..............

[23:10] <Tigre_bianco> (Philippians 2:12) Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

[23:11] <Tigre_bianco> Work out your own salvation doesn't mean you have do a bunch of good woorks to get saved

[23:11] <Tigre_bianco> .........

[23:12] <Tigre_bianco> but that you should seek God and study his word and come to your own conclusion on

[23:12] <Tigre_bianco> what's right and what's wrong

[23:12] <Tigre_bianco> ...................

[23:12] <Tigre_bianco> B: Study God's word

[23:12] <Tigre_bianco> ...........

[23:12] <Tigre_bianco> (2 Timothy 2:15) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

[23:13] <Tigre_bianco> Study God's word so that you know what it says and the context in which it was written.

[23:13] <Tigre_bianco> .................

[23:13] <Tigre_bianco> IV: Remember what might be wrong for you isn't neccessary wrong for everyone.

[23:13] <Tigre_bianco> ...............

[23:13] <Tigre_bianco> (Romans 14:14) I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

[23:14] <Tigre_bianco> If you think it's ok to do something make sure you don't cause another Christian to stumble who thinks it's wrong

[23:14] <Tigre_bianco> ...................

[23:14] <Tigre_bianco> (Romans 14:13) Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
