hey
Hello ChristianSk8er, I know what you're saying, but really what it comes down to I must say is not that they 'don't want to listen' more than they are Afraid to listen. I have found that people of this world have a tendency discomfort the moment any real emotion is shared. It's as though they Want to connect but they just Don't Know How because IF they do, they may be opening themselves up to becoming Vulnerable. So then you wind up leaving whatever verbal situation you've encountered feeling even weaker than you did to begin with. Talking to someone you feel is not really listening is like playing catch with someone who stands perfectly still only to let the ball bounce off them to the ground. 'Salt to the wound' if you will. I love to listen and as you can probably tell, I'm a bit chatty. :c) lol Feel free to write any time.
Ever Sincerely,

Three Stooges
Wow. Thanks. I can relate to the perfectionism and procrastination. And the mouth..... I would like to have some support in life as I caregive, condemn myself, and distrust others because of their disinterest.Posted 12-13-2008 at 08:37 PM by Jane Wood

My Father knows my name.
If you want to share how you dealt with 18 yrs worth of caregiving, I'd be interested in learning. I'm on my 13th year--the past year has been virtually round-the-clock--and really am "whelmed." There basically is nowhere to turn except to God. Thanks.Posted 12-13-2008 at 08:27 PM by Jane Wood
