I was talking to my mother about her political beliefs - she is an avid obama supporter, and have come to the conclusion that we do agree on most things, like the economy. I have come to realize that as Christians we believe that we are held to a higher standard, and because we have the truth, we are required to do all we can (voteing) to forward the kingdom of God. Where we differ is who or what we feel we are accountable to. She is not a Christian and does not feel that we are accountable to God...

My mother and step father voted for Obama, They are both college professors and quite left wing. I have found that while I stand firmly to the far right of Obama, it doesnt mean that I cannot look past differences and still have close friends and family that support him and his policies. It is pretty frusterating to see the country that I fought for personally go to what seems like "hell in a hand basket", but as Kathe put it, we are called to pray and trust that God knows what He is doing.

I am home cleaning my house - and am thankful that I have one. It is easy to whine to God about my problems, and while I have more than I would like, I try to remember that they are what help me to grow in character and see the hand of God in my life. I don't really care for the idea of staying at home while my wife works, but I have come to realize that God is using this strange situation to help us to see what struggles the other has gone through in the past. Howdy Howdy, I am back on CCNET again, and I am glad to be here. I have had a lot of stuff going on in my life, and my family needed me to take a break from this for a while.
