Announcement Regarding Ephesians Study Series
The study series on Ephesians occurred in #Cross_Talk on CCNet several years ago. I welcome your feedback and interaction concerning the content of the study. The series is now completely posted. I would encourage you to read the studies in order with your spouse or a friend. You could even use them as discussion starters for your own home Bible study group. The possibilities are endless. Enjoy!

God never intended for us to live in isolation. Our individualistic culture champions the independent tough guy attitude, but to what advantage? You don't have to share things here if you don't feel comfortable, but I do encourage you to speak with your pastor. I do that all the time and it is very helpful.

It's ok to listen to a friend, but you are not required to own his problems. Remember your swim lessons from years gone by? The person you try to rescue will attempt to take you down with them because they are frantic. Perhaps that is your friend's attitude with his problems. Just a thought. But it doesn't have to be that way for you. You can care for someone without being dragged down into their garbage.

good point
I agree Shield, Jesus should be the answer, if your friend does not know the Lord, perhaps this is an oppertunity to lead them there, you are a servant of Christ and maybe you are in their life for such a time as this.
This has happened before in my life and we ( Holly and I ) have allways spoken the truth about Jesus - Some follow, some dont.

I understand what your saying Shield But!
Theres always a question mark in life ,and the best i can do is tell them that they have to do what is right for them and to not always ask me because i dont have all the answers but if they are hurt then to get up and move on i guess thats the right answer.
what do you all think?
