Understanding Biblical end time prophecy is like shooting a very small future target from a long ways off. If you use two or three books of the Bible, it is like trying to hit that target with a two of three inch derringer. If you use as many Scriptures as you can find then you have a 30 to 40 inch rifle in which to aim with.

End time biblical prophecy is also like directions to somewhere. These directions are hidden in pieces through out an eighteen hundred book, written by forty authors. Like all direction to somewhere; the sooner you make a mistake in those directions the farther off you will be from seeing your destination.

End time prophecy is also like math equations, both sides of the equation have to balance. If an event of prophecy says that a, b, c, d, and e are suppose to happen, and if an event happens that only has a, c, and e then that event is not what the prophecy was talking about.

In trying to understand end time biblical prophecy effectively, it is this author’s belief that you want to read through the whole Bible, mark down anything that looks like prophecy, categorize them, see if they have happened already. If they haven’t happened yet then they need to still be fulfilled in the future. Once they are categorized, then they need to be read and reread again, to see what each subject is saying. Then look for timelines and connections between each of the different events. Most important is to let go of all preconceived ideas and let Scripture tell you what it wants to tell you.

This author believes that end time biblical prophecy is not so important for us who live before these events begin, but is very important for those who live At that Time…

At that Time…
Chapter 1

Welcome my brothers and sisters in the Lord,
Grace be to you,

Thank you for inquiring into this book. I would like to bring to you a different perspective on end time prophecy, for you to pray about. This book mainly goes over the time line of countries that will be around and involved in end time prophecy. We know that whatever God reveals about end time prophecy will come about. No end time Scripture is to be left out, for they all apply, for our God has spoken to us about what will happen. Now, these revelations may happen during our time or sometime in the future, but there is a time line that leads up to the time of the end, and this theory of end time events deals with those timelines. This book is based on Scripture, it is complex and deals with many aspects of the end times, but I will try to make it as simple and clear as possible. Feel free to argue with these premises and to question their relevance, and to see what God would like to reveal to you through this book. The first few chapters will go into the theories of this prophetic application, and then this book will go into what those theories means.

In discerning end time prophecies, at times, I look at them like math problems. The whole equation and each of the variables have to add up; both sides of the equation must balance. I.e. If God says a + b + c + d + e is a prophetic event that is going to happen in a sequence, then if in the physical a + b + d happen but c and e don’t happen, then that event was not the fulfillment of that prophecies. To you who are right brained and not mathematically inclined; if God says that a bunch of stuff is going to happen and all the pieces are not there, then the event wasn’t what God was talking about. Make sense? So, on to the prophecies…

First, I would like to start you off with reading verses that pertain to one vision. Then, I want you to identify when this vision finds its fulfillment. Don’t worry, this is very simple.

1) “Son of man,’ he said to me, “understand that the vision concerns the time of the end.”

2) “I am going to show you what will happen in the later time of wrath, because the vision concerns the appointed time of the end.”

3) “seal up the vision, for it concerns the distant future.”

So this vision concerns and finds it’s vision in the:

1) The time of the end

2a) The later time of wrath

2b) The appointed time of the end

3) The distant future

In this first set of Scriptures given, that we will use, we see there are certain timelines. This set of prophecies tells us when this vision is supposed to find its fulfillment. Now this is very important, for if we miss this part then the rest of this theory may not be of any value to you, for this book is based on timelines and when Scripture says their fulfillment is supposes to happen. I can make an assumption as to when a prophecy is suppose to happen (Haven’t we all done that?). Or I can rely on when Scripture clearly states that prophecy is supposed to happen. If I choose the latter then I am leaning on God’s revelation and not on my own understanding. As for me, I am leaning towards it’s the inspired Word of God and if the timelines are put there then there is a good reason that they are there. How about you? Do you feel that there is nothing in Scripture that is not suppose to be there, not one jot or ****le. So, Scripture declares that this vision finds it’s fulfillment in;

1) The time of the end

2a) The later time of wrath

2b) The appointed time of the end

3) The distant future

This entire vision finds its fulfillment in the time of the end. Now, the time of the end is any time after the apostle Peter uses it in acts.

Acts 2:15 “These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It is only nine in the morning!” 2:16 No, this is what is spoken by the prophet Joel:
Act 2:17 “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”

Peter uses the text of “the last days” after the day of Pentecost. So from that time on is considered the last days or the end times. Scripture declares that whatever this vision is, it finds its fulfillment in the end times. So, are you ready to find out where these verses are located and what the vision concerns? These verses are found in the book of Daniel chapter 8 verses 17, 19 and 26

Da 8:15 While I, Daniel, was watching the vision and trying to understand it, there before me stood one who looked like a man.
Da 8.16 And I heard a man’s voice from the Ulai calling, “Gabriel, tell this man the meaning of the vision.”
Da 8:17 As he came near the place where I was standing, I was terrified and fell prostrate. ‘Son of man,” he said to me, understand that the vision concerns the time of the end.
Da 8:18 While he was speaking to me, I was in a deep sleep, with my face to the ground. Then he touched me and raised me to my feet.
Da 8:19 He said: “I am going to tell you what will happen later in the time of wrath, because the vision concerns the appointed time of the end.

Da 8:26 The vision of the evenings and mornings that has been given you is true, but seal up the vision, for it concerns the distant future.’

Nowhere in Scripture is it more clearly and repetitiously stated in such a short ten verses (8:17-26) at what time a vision is supposed to be fulfilled. As Daniel was trying to understand the vision in verse 15, Daniel is told to understand one thing and nothing else, this is vitally important; “Son of man,” he said to me ‘understand that the vision concerns the time of the end.” And that is the key to the whole vision. If you understand what you are told to understand by Gabriel, the whole vision takes on a whole new significance.

“Son of man,” he said to me, understand that the vision concerns the time of the end.”

Now here is the whole vision, it is found in Daniel 8:1-27

Da 8:1 In the third year of King Belshazzar’s reign, I, Daniel, had a vision, after the one that had already appeared to me.
Da 8:2 In my vision I saw myself in the citadel of Susa in the province of Elam; in the vision I was beside the Ulai C****.
Da 8:3 I looked up, and there before me was a ram with two horns, standing beside the c****, and the horns were long. One of the horns was longer than the other but grew up later.
Da 8:4 I watched the ram as he charged toward the west and the north and the south. No animal could stand against him, and none could rescue from his power. He did as he pleased and became great.
Da 8:5 As I was thinking about this, suddenly a goat with a prominent horn between his eyes came from the west, crossing the whole earth without touching the ground
Da 8:6 He came toward the two-horned ram I had seen standing beside the c**** and charged at him in great rage.
Da 8:7 I saw him attack the ram furiously, striking the ram and shattering his two horns. The ram was powerless to stand against him; the goat knocked him to the ground and trampled on him, and none could rescue the ram from his power.
Da 8:8 The goat became very great, but at the height of his power his large horn was broken off, and in its place four prominent horns grew up toward the four winds of heaven.
Da 8:9 Out of one of them came another horn, which started small but grew in power to the south and to the east and toward the Beautiful Land.
Da 8:10 It grew until it reached the host of the heavens, and it threw some of the starry host down to the earth and trampled on them.
Da 8:11 It set itself up to be as great as the Prince of the host; it took away the daily sacrifice from him, and the place of his sanctuary was brought low.
Da 8:12 Because of rebellion, the host of the saints and the daily sacrifice were given over to it. It prospered in everything it did, and truth was thrown to the ground.
Da 8:13 Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to him, “How long will it take for the vision to be fulfilled—the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, the rebellion that causes desolation, and the surrender of the sanctuary and of the host that will be trampled underfoot?’
Da 8:14 He said to me, ‘it will take 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary will be reconsecrated.”

The Interpretation of the Vision

Da 8:15 While I, Daniel, was watching the vision and trying to understand it, there before me stood one who looked like a man.
Da 8:16 And I heard a man’s voice from the Ulai calling, “Gabriel tell this man the meaning of the vision.”
Da 8:17 As he came near the place where I was standing, I was terrified and fell prostrate. “Son of man,” he said to me, “understand that the vision concerns the time of the end.”
Da 8:18 While he was speaking to me, I was in a deep sleep, with my face to the ground. Then he touched me and raised me to my feet.
Da 8:19 He said: “I am going to tell you what will happen later in the time of wrath, because the vision concerns the appointed time of the end.
Da 8:20 The two-horned ram that you saw represents the kings of Media and Persia.
Da 8:21 The ****gy goat is the king of Greece, and the large horn between his eves is the first king.
Da 8:22 The four horns that replaced the one that was broken off represent four kingdoms that will emerge from his nation but will not have the same power.
Da 8:23 “In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked, a stern-faced king, a master of intrigue, will arise.
Da 8:24 He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the mighty men and the holy people.
Da 8:25 He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power.
Da 8:26 “The vision of the evenings and mornings that has been given you is true, but seal up the vision, for it concerns the distant future.”
Da 8:27 I, Daniel, was exhausted and lay ill for several days. Then I got up and went about the king’s business. I was appalled by the vision; it was beyond understanding.

Now, this vision concerns Media-Persia, Greece, the four horns that come out of Greece and the antichrist’s kingdom. Most of us have been told over the years that this vision concerns the distant past. But, we are told by Scripture that the vision specifically concerns the time of the end. Now, you may say, “Well maybe, but that is only one set of passages that say this.” And I agree, so I want to take you to Daniel chapter two in which Nebuchadnezzar has a dream which he will not tell what the dream is about and orders all the wise men of Babylon to be put the death unless they can tell him what the dream is and then explain it to him. This great mystery was revealed to Daniel and he explains it to the king.
