I am still here

[overjoyed]

The shriveled leaves from roses sent

The innocent laughter

The deeper commitment

Thoughts of you leaving I could not bear

Heaven bound you were sent

Sweet smells of you still permeate the air

I still hear, “I love you”, the words that you meant

I still thank the Lord…although I feel it’s unfair

That you’ve bridged that gap

And I am still here
