When many Christians think of God’s light, they simply think of basking in it themselves, having their ‘personal glory,’ a presumed result of their own good works and nature, on display for all the world to see. But Jesus spoke of being filled with light, and being filled with darkness, the connotations lending themselves more to illumination of the spirit within.
