Obama the Antichrist?

Obama the antichrist… if I had a dime for every time I heard that one, I could purchase a gallon of gasoline… well, maybe. To be sure, I have profound concerns over Obama’s plan to promote a Marxist Health Care system in the US, as well as his notorious opposition to DOMA, Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, and Partial Birth Abortion Ban (laws that prohibit gruesome and inhumane procedures against pre born and newborn babies)

But the antichrist? After all Obama has garnered the support of millions, including Oprah and Ted Kennedy, how then could so many be mistaken? As always, God’s word should be the standard by which to measure all the nonsense we happen across. (Emphasis is mine)

-Jesus spoke about the antichrist; particularly in the last days “…Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen…” (Matthew 24:4-6)
“For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect- if that were possible” (Matthew 24:24)

-Paul also warned about the antichrist… “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear” (2 Timothy 4:3)

-And Jesus’ disciples spoke of the antichrist… “but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world” (1 John 4:3)

So, by the account of God’s word, the spirit of the antichrist may very well come from the East, West, left, and right- incidentally, I can evoke several of this nation’s elected who have proceeded with such a dreadful spirit. But praise God… for the antichrist has already been defeated at the cross, and victory has been promised to all who reside in Christ… “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome (the antichrist) because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4)

As for the antichrist in regards to Obama or McCain, for that matter… well what does the “the one who is in you” have to say?

Obama is just a man, certainly not the antichrist! He just has a whacky plan for the country, but then again so does McCain.

In regards to the antichrist I think it is more plausible that the antichrist is a spirit, and not a man. First John 4:3 as you pointed out is an excellent example of this!

The antichrist of John is the equal to the Lawless men in 2 Thess. 2:3 and was in Acts 8:9 Simon was a Gnostic who had lots of followers, and he joined Christians to get more people..he is the Lawless in 2 Tess....so anyone who does what Simon did is an antichrist....a Lawless....read:

2 Thess. 2:4 He (Simon Magus) He opposes and exalts himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, and even sets himself up in God's temple proclaiming himself to be God....This Simon is the fellow whom the catholics call Simon Peter (The apostle) this Simon is the foundation of the catholic church, a mixture of Jewish Mysticism (Gnosticism) with Greek Philosophy....He opposed to all Holy things of God as:

His Law, His Sabbath-Day, His Oneness, His Name, he mixed the scriptures with paganism.....do you know anyone who does this things?!!!!! That is the antichrist....

Your post is good but!!!! and antichrist is the one who is against everything that is of Christ....who is of Christ?!!!!His Law, His Sabbath, His Name, His Oneness, His Baptism, His Word.... when John said "You dear children are from God"..he reffered to Jews who had converted to Christianism, not christendom....Meaning this Jews and God-Fearers Gentiles, were Law-Keepers, and believe that Jesus a.k the Son whas YHWH in human form...and got baptized in His name....that is why John said that....the devil has played a good one to the world...I believe that what you say the way you say it for over 50 years, and!!!! Jesus Himself proved me incorrect, false....I hope some day He does that to everyone in the world, before is too late....although the bible says that the gate for the lost ones is "WIDE", so!!! using logic it means that alot people will be going there....

I think I am understanding this. You mean to say anyone (any spirit) that is not of Christ is the antichrist, right? If this is what you're saying I am in total agreement. The antichrist is not a man but a spirit that is loosed and full-fledged.

Well my beloved friend....Jesus is in agreement with you as you are with Him....that is what matters....For first time i received warnings of what I print is not good for somepeople in this forum....Christ doctrine is to hard for some people....and I understand?....We have to taste the Spirits...the person says I am rebuking people...that is what the bible says to do: read:
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, "REBUKE" and ENCOURAGE...that is what I do, try to ENCOURAGE people to seek the truth....As You.....what I posted for you wasn't and insult, and even you agree with that the bible says...Good for you brother...well!! keep walking like this, just in case I disappear....

I cannot say anything regarding the spirits of angels residing in us, because there are only two spirits. God's and Satans, the latter which makes up being typically 'soul-less' or 'lost'.

It is refreshing to meet someone such as yourself! I have met very few people who share this same belief, and I do agree that this is Biblical, and the only Biblically correct path!

This is call "A REVELATION"...see!!!! Jesus reveals issues here and there to anyone who is not with Him or going in His path, hoping we can turn around and change our path once we understand something we never understood...many times people do not care what they been revealed they keep going the same path....the same thing happened to me after the accident, everything I read the bible, I understood something I never did, and I had been praying for...get?!!!!!! when you listen to God you will understand God....but when we ain't...then we will not....

No, no, no.....read; Numbers 16:22
But Moses and Aaron fell facedown and cried out :O GOD, GOD OF THE SPIRITS OF "ALL MANKIND"...See!!! Read: Heb. 12:9
Moreover we have 'ALL" human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more SHOULD WE "SUBMIT" TO THE FATHER OF "OUR SPIRITS" AND LIVE..see!!! Read what King David said:
Psalm 51:10
Create in me a "PURE HEART" , O God, and RENEW A STEADFAST "SPIRIT" WITHIN ME 11 Do not cast me from your PRESENCE or take your Holy Spirit from me....

This Psalm is read every Sabbath-Day...Friday a sundown, when the ceremony of the Wine and Bread is perfom...so Jesus cleans us from our sins committed during the week....and be made Holy as He wants..He wants His people Holy, and He is the only one who can do that.....when I was catholic I believed the priest did that....when I was a protestant I believed what the pastor said....Now I believed what Jesus says through His Word...the bible...I hope you can see this too as you saw the antichrist....

There is the spirit of the anti-spirit specifically identified in scripture, and there is anti-christ[s] plural that are out there....but Revelation plainly says there is a singular anti-christ, a man, with the calculated number of 666 that it describes.

"Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."
